Job Description:
SUMMARY

To actively or through subordinates, perform all functions required for the day-to-day operation of the warehouse portion of the Distribution Center.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Supervise personnel: work allocation, training, and problem resolution.
- Assign tasks and assist personnel within the warehouse.
- Shift manpower as needed to meet immediate requirements.
- Maintain performance standards and suggest changes for improvement.
- Train or assign trainer for all new personnel.
- Resolve all possible problems arising during the shift, including but not exclusive to, personnel grievances, or functional procedures within the department. Liaise with DC Management and HR as necessary.
- Monitor dock activity for proper flow of materials.
- Support QA functions.
- Checks high profile shipments for accuracy.
- Act as a liaison between office and warehouse.
- Provide back up for office functions as required.
- Maintain and report operational supplies inventory levels.
- Monitor safety compliance, support good practices and report violations.
- Other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Supervise Production personnel: work allocation, training, and problem resolution.
- Evaluate employee performance and motivate to achieve optimum productivity
- Measure and Upgrade standards for all job functions and procedures
- Open or close the facility as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

- College Degree, preferrably in Supply Chain Management or 5 years of comparable distribution experience desired.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

- Good written and verbal in the English Language.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

- Good basic math skills.
- Ability to create and maintain Excel spreadsheets with formulas desired.

REASONING ABILITY

- This position requires problem solving and the ability to improve existing practices, as they relate to warehouse functions.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

- Forklift Operator certification
