Logistic Center Manager in Detroit, MI

Job Description:

This position is responsible for meeting existing client needs, extending client relationships to expand business opportunities, meet service and profit objectives, implement strategy to attain goals while resolving business issues and management of the facility.

Provide leadership, direction, and support career development to associates.
Ensure adherence to all customer inventory, value added services, storage and delivery requirements.
Ensure all DOT and OSHA requirements are met.
Maintain a positive professional relationship with clients.
Work with sales force to develop additional business opportunities with current clients and new business opportunities
Provide frequent, open communication while maintaining an open door policy
Motivate employees to achieve goals.
Seek process improvement in operations, employees, processes and technologies continually.
Implement and take ownership for compliance with standard operating procedures.
Ensure best practices are maintained while utilizing trending analysis

Job Requirements:

Demonstrated leadership capabilities with 3 to 10 years of experience in a warehouse environment.
Must possess suitable business acumen to understand and impact a profitable P&L.
Intermediate skill level using Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and the Internet.
Ability to work effectively in a multi-cultural environment.
Ability to successfully communicate - both verbally and in writing.
Ability to follow through and provide excellent customer service.
Strong problem solving skills.
Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
Must demonstrate sound business judgment and decision-making skills.
