    Our client, a global brand-leader in the automotive consumer goods industry, is looking for an Intermediate Accountant to join their expanding accounting team.

    Working closely with the Accounting Manager and Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for three key areas: General Accounting, Trade Investments, and Fixed Assets/Leases.

    Your responsibilities will include the following:
    General Accounting:
    o Prepare, process, and post all journal entries
    o Assist in preparing and analyzing financials, compare to plan and explain variances
    o Analysis volume, sales, CPL, cash flow
    o Account reconciliation
    o Assist Accounting Manager with Corporate Income Tax, Year End Audit working papers, Budget/Forecast preparation
    o Assist with ERP upgrade implementation (MS Dynamics AX)
    o Prepare regulatory reporting
    o Assist with other special projects as they arise.
    Trade Investments:
    o Assist Trade Investment Analyst with monthly schedule maintenance and journal preparation
    o Quarterly reconcile the sub-ledger to the GL.
    Fixed Assets/Leases:
    o Maintain current Capex schedules working with other dept managers
    o Complete the monthly Capex report
    o Track actual spend to budget.

    QUALIFICATIONS:
    To be considered for this opportunity you will possess the following skills/experience/attributes:

    • University Degree (BA or B.Comm)
    • Currently working toward your CGA, CMA, or CA designation
    • Minimum of 2 years accounting experience
    • Superb communication (oral and written) interpersonal, analytical, and time management skills
    • Possess a strong understanding of accounting theory and the CICA Handbook
    • The willingness to learn and to teach others new concepts
    • Skilled in MS Office applications.
