    EXPERIENCE: In order to be COMPETITIVE for this position, you must have:
    • 5 years experience in a job-shop environment PLUS 3 years experience working with hands-on detailed program planning.
    • Strong skills in MS Word, Excel and Access and in-depth knowledge of MRP.

    POSITION DESCRIPTION:

    Our client is part of an extremely large and stable North American high technology firm producing items from industrial goods and process engineering to sophisticated military, nuclear and aerospace products.

    The Mississauga operation is a specialized job-shop operation utilizing almost 200,000 square feet. A staff of professional engineers specializing in hydraulics, hydrodynamics, hydro acoustics, electrics, electro-optics, electronics, mechanical design, reliability, maintainability, safety and software engineering works to meet a wide variety of customer requirements.

    As part of an experienced team, you will report to the Manager, Manufacturing Engineering and Scheduling.

    Your extensive experience in and knowledge of manufacturing disciplines related to fabrication, welding, machining, painting and assembly have given you the ability to analyze drawing specifications for design and processes. You will provide estimates of manufacturing times, costs, scheduling and assist in make/buy decisions, often involving high-strength aluminum and stainless steel.

    A background in the naval or aerospace world will help you quickly adapt to the firm's operations and activities. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated the desire for continual improvement both technically and personally, combined with a strong customer focus.
