Visit us at www.spartagroup.com Job Description: The Project Manager - Critical Service & After Market is responsible for managing the implementation of projects including new customer start-ups as well as continuous improvement initiatives for existing customers. The scope of this role includes validating the requirements of the proposed customer solution with existing and required operational capabilities, developing and managing project plans, controls, metrics collection and assessment, and associated contingency planning. May supervise or have indirect supervisory responsibility for other personnel relative to all work performed on assigned projects. Duties and Responsibilities: • Validation and alignment of the client's business requirements with the proposed customer solution to ensure a seamless operational transition; Definition, documentation and communication of business requirements as input for operational and information technology solutions • Overall leader for implementation - Design, determination and documentation of project management results to ensure projects meet established objectives and deliverables, including project scope, timeline, resource usage and the transition and training cost to budget. Responsible for the success of implementation results • Develop rapport with client management and maintain strong working relationships. Successfully manage customer and internal stakeholder / functional owner expectations. • Define and implement SOP's and internal management KPI's to ensure consistency and management of implemented solution. • Represent company in meetings with external parties including client, consultants, vendors, and others. • Provide regular project communications and timely status reports, as well as align goals, objectives and priorities within the team; identify, track, manage and mitigate project issues and risks. Job Requirements: • Strong operational knowledge of domestic and international aftermarket spare parts supply chain is preferred • Should have at least five to ten years management experience in supply chain or as a Project Manager. • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Logistics or related field is preferred. • Must work well in a collaborative team environment and communicate (verbal and written) effectively with customers, peers and senior management. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (including Microsoft Project and Visio) required. • Proven leadership and business acumen and possess professional business demeanor. • Structured process analysis and process documentation skills. • Working knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and Order Management System (OMS) is an asset. • Working knowledge of financial reporting systems.
