Job Description:
We have an outstanding career opportunity at our newly centralized, 24/7 state-of-the-art Customs Brokerage Processing Center in Columbia, South Carolina for a Duty Finalization Supervisor. Relocation assistance is available.

Responsibilities for this role include:
• Timely payment of duties for all transactions processed
• Provide management oversight for identifying statement and non statement transactions, validating payment method, ensuring payment balances between all documents and processes including statement, entry summary, check, ACH transfer and billing invoice
• Ensure document transactions submitted to US Customs are fully accounted for and sent when required
• Responsible to ensure all activities are documented and accounted for including proof of submission (time/date stamp) to US Customs
• Ensure all accounting functions are completed according to standards including: research into non paid or short paid invoices, providing additional copies of transactions, reconciling all open A/P and A/R debit and credit reports, compiling station/function reports and statistics, facilitating vendor payments, reconciling invoices out of balance, providing accounting support to Import Managers as necessary, DDU/DDP accounting and summary invoicing
• Assist team with complex issues and serve as a resource and point of escalation for issues
• Monitor and evaluate the team to ensure timely and compliant results
• Accountable for the staff development within the reporting structure








Job Requirements:
Skills Required:
• Strong accounting background
• Intermediate MS Office suite
• Good leadership, motivational, and interpersonal skills
• Good organizational skills
• Ability to supervise large staff at multiple levels of development and multiple activities. Strong analytical skills to identify transactions outside of compliance
• Senior level organizational, management, negotiation and development skills in order to ensure the full spectrum of customer service requirements are met
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Typically requires BS/BA and 3-5 years experience in related field, including at least one year of supervisory experience
• Professional certification required in some areas
