Job Description: We have an outstanding career opportunity at our newly centralized, 24/7 state-of-the-art Customs Brokerage Processing Center in Columbia, South Carolina for an Import Supervisor. Relocation assistance is available. Responsibilities for this role include: • Accountable for all activities performed on assigned team • Supervises and coordinates customs clearance activities on assigned team • Ensures compliance of all processing of transactions according to CBP regulations Ensures compliance with federal and foreign regulations governing the shipment, receipt and documentation of imported/exported products being shipped • Implements and trains on policies, procedures and service standards for customs clearance operations • Ensures all policies and procedures are consistently administered • Responsible for meeting key performance indicators • Responsible for coaching, training, and developing staff • Assigns and reviews work, sets completion dates and manages performance in accordance with organizational policies, procedures, and performance management processes. Job Requirements: Skills Required: • Advanced knowledge of all regulatory aspects related to importing • Ability to create and execute the vision for the customs brokerage product • Intermediate analytical and problem solving skills • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills • Strong computer skills, including the use of templates in word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications • Ability to multi-task • Understands and can apply leadership skills for work direction, motivation, and performance management • Typically requires BS/BA and 2-4 years of related field, or equivalent |
