Senior Global Transportation (TMS) Analyst Location: Bethel CT About Company: Dynamic domestic and international leader in their field since 1920. Job Summary: Senior Global Transportation Analyst with extensive experience to successfully guide various global transportation tasks as well as attending to daily operational needs in a rapidly paced environment. Duties/Responsibilities: • Work cross functionally to educate others on how changes in the Supply Chain affect transportation costs. Able to -crunch- the numbers and work with spread sheets to document results. • Develop and maintain carrier performance scorecards • Put into practice global Transportation Management System (TMS) • Strong knowledge of US Customs and Compliance as it relates to the transportation of goods. • Work with Procurement and Demand Planning to understand total landed cost (TLC) for new products. Identify and analyze information and project new and innovative strategies. • Identify optimal return consolidation locations, carriers and modes • Assist Sales with pricing strategy and required carrier negotiations • Perform routine freight payment center audits to meet Internal Audit, External Audit and SOX requirements Job Requirements: • BS degree require-MBA highly preferred in Finance, Logistics or International Business.5-7 years experience in logistics, transportation and warehousing plus 3-5 years experience in international trade compliance. • Extensive experience in financial reporting and business case analysis. • Demonstrated achievement in implementing TMS for an international business situation. • Knowledge of packaging and distribution "best practices", fleet management, DOT requirements and freight payment centers and freight payment implementation. Knowledge of EDI a plus • Experience in small package, LTL, TL, international ocean/air and multi-modal transportation pricing. Experience with couriers and 3PLs a plus. Knowledge of US Customs and Compliance. • Knowledge of SAP OM and SAP Warehouse a plus. Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification a plus. |
