| Job Description: Concorde Career Colleges, Inc. is a nationally recognized for-profit, post-secondary education company providing career training in the field of allied health, and we have an opening for a Purchasing Manager at our corporate office in Mission, KS. Responsibilities include: -Procures and manages the distribution of materials, supplies, equipment and services. -Insures standards of quality, service and reliability are met in the acquisition of supplies, service and equipment. -Prepares and analyzes bids and provides consultation to personnel desiring equipment, materials, or services. -Identifies and recommends suppliers -Develops specifications to standardize supplies and equipment -Insures department records including the item master file and vendor files are properly maintained. -Negotiates agreements for service and maintenance of office machines and equipment. -Prepares purchasing reports analyzing and summarizing information and trends. -Implements and insures compliance with Concorde policies, state and federal laws. -Supervises the drafting of RFP's, RFI's and RFQ's -Receives and reviews all contract information from GPO's and makes recommendations as to which contract best suits the needs of Concorde. -Designs and implements revenue enhancing activities such as supply kits and custom textbooks. -Troubleshoots and supports the Electronic Requisition and Ordering System Provides training to staff assigned to the Purchasing Department. -Performs other related duties as directed by the Director of Purchasing. -Coordinates with Accounting Department to ensure Inventory Management compliance. Job Requirements: -Customer service oriented -Excellent communication and organizational skills. -Five years of increasingly responsible purchasing experience in a multiple location environment is preferred with a minimum of one year in a supervisory role. -Bachelors Degree is required. -Experience drafting and securing Request for Quotations (RFQ's) and Requests for Information (RFI.) -Proficient in the use of electronic requisition and ordering software. -Proven contract negotiation skills. -Strong financial analysis skills.
