    POSITION DESCRIPTION:

    Our client, a national leader of specialty Asian food products, is seeking a career-focused Senior Sales Representative to service their expanding Greater Toronto market.

    This position is ideal for someone who is Bilingual Chinese (Mandarin and/or Cantonese) / English who has contacts in the Asian retail market in the Greater Toronto Area and wants to grow their territory and earning potential.

    As a self-driven sales person you will sell our client's quality line of products to an expanding territory of retail/DSD accounts while keeping an eye out for other lucrative sales opportunities.

    Your responsibilities will be as follows:
    • Develop new local retail/DSD accounts (Asian market)
    • Achieve sales targets on monthly and annual basis
    • Act as front-line sales representative on all sales-related matters
    • Maintain accurate sales records and reports
    • Participate in trade-related shows
    • Collect related marketing data and sales information for management.

    SALARY RANGE: $55,000-$60,000 /year

    QUALIFICATIONS:
    To be successful in this position you will possess the following skills and experience:
    • 3-5 years' regional sales experience servicing the retail/DSD channel
    • Develop, maintain, and grow sales and seek opportunities in locally-based key accounts
    • Experience in Asian and English culture and language (Strong Cantonese and/or Mandarin language skills are required)
    • College or University education in business or marketing
    • Proficiency in Microsoft applications, Word and Excel
    • You're a self starter who can work independently and in a team environment with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
    • Some evening and weekend work will be required as will business travel.
