Role: Supervisory position responsible for providing overall supervision to the Inventory Team to assure that department and company goals are attained to include safety, inventory accuracy, over / shorts research, cycle count variance analysis, and cost reduction initiatives. Primary responsibilities include: Maintain a safe work environment by training personnel on safety issues, timely completion of safety accident and/or incident reports; recognizing and correcting unsafe conditions or acts. Manage daily activities of inventory employees to include but not limited to hiring, coaching, training, job performance and discipline administration. Responsible for analyzing cycle count data-formulating and providing recommendations for accuracy improvements. Performs initial analysis of any inventory adjustments and reconciles inaccuracies as required. Document, implement, and monitor standard operating procedures and process flows. Interface with, Shipping, Receiving, Picking, and Customer to improve overall operating efficiency. The Inventory supervisor will be responsible for management of the inventory. Assesses system capabilities and integrates findings into process improvements and program implementation consistent with business strategies. Analyze historical adjustments to determine root causes. Other duties as assigned. Job Requirements: Skills required to be successful in the job include: • Ability to communicate throughout the organization in written and verbal form. • Proficiency in MS office software & Oracle database. • Ability to prioritize work assignments. • Attention to detail and the ability to analyze and interpret data. • Ability to be a productive team member in both formal and informal settings. • Ability to achieve results in a dynamic environment. • Ability to supervise direct reports through coaching and mentoring • Ability to be a productive team member in both formal and informal settings. • Ensure proper validations and document retention to meet departmental and customer requirements. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: BA/BS degree in related field or equivalent work experience. Minimum 3-5 years supervisory and inventory management in a manufacturing or distribution work environment. EOE |
