    EXPERIENCE: In order to be COMPETITIVE for this position, you must have:
    • Supervisory experience in an ICI general construction environment (large-scale projects)
    • Strong problem solving and decision making skills
    • The ability to delegate and follow up on tasks.

    Our client, a well-established General Contractor with over 25 years servicing Halifax and the Maritime region, is expanding their team and requires Two Superintendents for new projects. Project locations to be determined!

    As a Superintendent; you will be required to perform supervisory, administrative, problem solving and decision making duties as they relate to the project.

    Your specific responsibilities will include:
    • Coordinating sub-contractor activities and monitoring all materials and equipment requirements
    • Overseeing safety and environmental programs
    • Completing all field documentation (employee timesheets, purchases, etc.)
    • Implementing and monitoring the construction plan.

    QUALIFICATIONS:
    To be considered for this position you will possess the following skills, attributes, and abilities:
    • 5-10 years Site Supervision experience with a large ICI General Contractor on projects ranging from $2-$20million
    • Gold Seal Certification is beneficial (this company will certify the right candidate)
    • The ability to read and interpret blue prints
    • Strong computer and communication skills
    • Flexibility to travel depending on the project (to date all projects are based in the Maritimes).
