    Our client, a well-established and growing Ottawa-based general contractor specializing in medium to large ICI construction projects has an immediate opening for a Senior Site Superintendent overseeing a residential condo development.

    Reporting to the Project Manager you will be overseeing a team of 225 trades-people and sub-contractors with the assistance of an Assistant Site Superintendent.

    Your specific responsibilities will include managing all aspects of the construction site such as:
    • Planning and supervising the work of sub-trades and internal employees
    • Managing all aspects of site safety including regular H&S audits
    • Developing and driving the schedule
    • Conducting weekly sub-trade meetings to update your team on the progress of the project along with any other issues/concerns
    • Analyzing the construction budget and report any discrepancies to Project Manager
    • Maintaining the work-log.

    QUALIFICATIONS:
    To be considered for this exciting opportunity you will possess the following:
    • Minimum 10 years of experience overseeing large ICI projects ($20-$40million)
    • Overseeing LEED projects a strong asset
    • The ability to read blueprints and working knowledge of estimating
    • Strong people-management and project-management skills
    • Knowledge of Ontario Health and Safety legislation, WSIB, and MOL as well as the Ontario Building Code.
