Our client, a global consumer goods leader, is expanding their Mississauga team and requires a Senior Financial Analyst. The ideal candidate for this position will have come from a consumer goods environment, possess SAP experience, and have a passion for all functions of accounting and analysis. Reporting to the Manager of Planning & Analysis your specific responsibilities will include: • Coordinating and preparing month-end closing, budgets and forecasts, and financial activities then providing analysis on key performance indicators • Tracking and reviewing monthly Sales, General, and Administrative (SG&A) expenses, analyzing variances, and providing your insight on these variances to the department managers • Generating monthly product line P&L • Preparing account reconciliation and assuring the accuracy of financial information • Investigating and following up on outstanding balances • Recommending procedure improvements to department management • Enforcing and administering financial discipline and control which includes meeting the compliance requirements of Sarbanes-Oxley. QUALIFICATIONS: To be successful in this role you will possess the following skills and experience: • A University Degree and your CMA/CGA (or working toward either designation) • 3-5 years of progressive experience in a financial role working with a larger consumer goods company • SAP experience mandatory, SAP implementation experience highly beneficial • Experience in all aspects of accounting with the ability to analyze information and present findings to department management • A background in budgeting and forecasting • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate financial information to cross-functional teams • The ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding, and changing environment.
