Position Description Summary: Enhance product workflow by analyzing and developing transportation and logistics plans that affect customer production, distribution, and inventory. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within transportation industry. Principal Accountabilities (The following is intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed. It is not an exhaustive list of all expectations.): • Define freight and logistics related issues with customers, map out solutions using available software tools • Develop proposals and presentations for future strategic planning with customers • Consult with other functional areas to identify areas of opportunity for automation of the transportation and logistics process • Provide direct assistance to clients on service usage and problem resolution • Interface with global account management teams throughout the world on above, potentially necessitating evening or early morning con calls Job Requirements: Essential Functions: Must be able to pass any federal/state/local government, airport, or company-required background checks, clearances, and/or drug and alcohol tests. Knowledge and Skills (The following minimum requirements are normal guidelines and should not constrain the advancement of otherwise qualified personnel): This is a specialist level position. Exceptional interpersonal and analytical skills required. Cultural diversity and sensitivity is an integral part of the required skills. Bachelor's degree or equivalent required. Generally prefer 6 years of related experience. Related and required software to fulfill this position is the knowledge and use of: Microsoft Power Point, MS Project, MS Excel Spreadsheet and formulas.
