HOURS: 08:00 A.M. to 05:00 P.M.

Functional Purpose:
Evaluates target markets, analyzes product potential, and creates marketing/business development plans focused on business growth within assigned territories. Manages cross-functional teams comprised of both USPS employees and contractors to achieve sales and revenue growth targets. Conducts customer needs assessments and directs the development of new product and solution services to meet customer needs in order to gain greater market impact. Provides accountability for achievement of market goals relative to business development. Serves as a regional representative of the USPS to foreign governmental agencies, customers, strategic partners, and other stakeholders.

Qualified applicants must successfully pass a pre-employment drug

The salary will be based on previous experience, salary history, and current postal pay policies. 1. Ability to develop effective working relationships with business stakeholders and external partners.
2. Experience developing global or regional level business development and sales plans.
3. Experience implementing and managing sales and marketing plans and strategies identified in product/service business plans.
4. Experience managing supply chain logistics in a complex, global setting.
5. Experience leading cross-functional teams comprised of employees and contractors, foreign and national.
6. Experience developing requirements for, contracting, and managing contracted resources.
7. Ability to manage, including planning, organizing, directing, and monitoring the work of people, programs, and/or projects to meet organizational needs.
8. Ability to conduct U.S. Postal Service business within the region assigned: language proficiency and cultural awareness are key factors.

NOTE: Region of assignment is Asia-Pacific.

Desired skills include: proficiency in English and experience with the Asia-Pacific culture as well as business development experience within the region. This position will involve air travel to and from the assigned region.
