| Job Description: Reporting to the Area Vice President for one of the world's leading providers of integrated logistics services offering freight forwarding, customs brokerage, logistics and distribution. Will be responsible to direct the overall sales, operations and administration of the New Jersey facility, including driving sales initiatives, implementation of cost saving opportunities and conformance to operational metrics. Primary responsibility will be to drive sales, while managing to standard operating procedures and directing an aggressive operating plan. Challenge is to build world-class sales and operations team at branch, motivating and leading staff while optimizing costs, increasing revenues and improving profitability. Job Requirements: Background Required: • International Freight Forwarding (5 years) • International Freight Forwarding Sales • Multimodal (i.e. Ocean, Air, Import, Export, TL, LTL) • Knowledge of NY, NJ & PA markets • P & L including Budgeting, Forecasting & Reporting • Established standard operating procedures & metrics • Business plan preparation and implementation • Computer literate - Microsoft Word, Exel, Outlook • Residence: Greater NY/NJ market Background Preferred (but not required): • Branch Operations Management • Warehousing (i.e. Pick & Pack, sequencing, subassembly) • Customs Brokerage Management • Education: College Graduate- BA or BS Other essential abilities and skills: • Ability to motivate people through collaborative skills • Excellent customer service • Negotiations • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) |
