Description: Steamship line specializing in South and Central America seeks experienced, self-motivated sales professional. Responsibilities: - Outside sales. - Serve as the key client contact for managing the shipping needs of customers. - Negotiate rates and shipping requirements with customers. - Prepare presentations and proposals for client. - Develop and maintain effective customer relationships. - Resolve customer problems and complaints to ensure customer satisfaction. - Maintain and manage customer base (provided by manager) by weekly follow-ups. - Develop and execute strategies to maximize the growth and profitability of accounts. - Proactively contact customers to identify problems and negotiate solutions to ensure customer retention and satisfaction. - Prepare weekly sales reports. - Develop new accounts. - Demonstrate the ability to share team goals and responsibilities. - Participate in marketing events such as seminars, trade shows, and telemarketing events. - Provide on-the-job training to new sales employees. Job Requirements: - Bilingual in English and Spanish. - Three to five years sales experience with steamship. - Book of business, door-to-door selling, and cold calls. |
