Job Description: Kelloggs has an exciting opportunity for a Procurement Manager, located in Battle Creek, MI. The Procurement Manager will be accountable for ingredient sourcing, market trend analysis, contract negotiation and risk management strategies. This position also provides management and procurement business expertise for effective utilization of strategic sourcing techniques and supplier relationship management processes that drive efficiencies, cost effectiveness and continuous improvement within supply chain. Kellogg EOE M/F/D/V Job Requirements: Minimum education and experience is High School diploma/G.E.D equivalent and 10 years related work experience or Bachelors Degree and 6 years related work experience (manufacturing, supply chain management, business). Preferred education and experience is Bachelors degree and 8 years related work experience. Requires strong leadership, planning and technical skills. Must have work experience with a consumer products company or food manufacturer with strong knowledge of agricultural ingredients and commodity markets. Must have proven track record on ability to manage multiple suppliers, including bid process, contract development, compliance and overall supplier performance. 5-7 years procurement experience with exchange traded commodities coupled with strong financial understanding. Must have experience in commodity risk management, including identifying risks and opportunities along with developing recommendations based on global market dynamics. Must have proven track record of demonstrating strong negotiation skills. |
