| Job Description: This position is for local residents only. Job Duties: Schedule and assign work to employees. Clearly communicate expectations and hold direct reports accountable for results. Provide necessary equipment, materials, and documents to ensure successful completion of tasks. Supervise and develop direct reports to achieve financial, quality, customer satisfaction, and developmental goals. Maintain positive employee relations. Determine proper staffing levels within functional area based on the volume and type of work to be completed daily. Maintain a balanced workload by taking readings throughout the day, and by readjusting the staffing levels, as necessary, to achieve the appropriate level of volume by the projected time of completion. Focus efforts on enhancing service to stores, taking steps to ensure extraordinary customer service. Monitor the work performance of each employee to ensure that quality and quantity expectations are met or exceeded. Provide ongoing training/retraining of employees to ensure that they are prepared to meet or exceed the productivity standards for their function. Possess the ability to utilize a variety of reports, summaries, and procedures to project workload and resolve problems that arise during the workday. Approximately 5% travel, some overnight. Weekend work. Job Requirements: Experience Required: Analytical, written and oral communication skills Knowledge and experience working with Distribution management Ability to analyze, identify problems and implement solutions Ability to work in a -5 degree to 90 degree Fahrenheit environment (temperature varies within each department) for long periods of time Ability to use PC/CRT and operate AS400 systems Ability to perform basic math skills to complete necessary reports Ability to motivate associates and deal effectively with performance issues Experience with Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint Experience Preferred: BA/BS Degree 3 years experience in Distribution Operations |
