| Job Description: Sr. Systems Analyst Job ID107137 LocationMooresville,North Carolina Experience Required5-7 years Education RequiredBachelors Degree Functional AreaInformation Technology (IT) Position TypeRegular Full-Time Relocation ProvidedYes Line of BusinessCorporate Position Description The Senior Solution Analyst's (EIS) primary responsibility is the BI requirement gathering, business analysis, delivery of reports, analytics and dashboard functionality from Lowe's Data Warehouse with the MicroStrategy Suite of BI tools, related products and Teradata or other relational database Platforms. Works with EIS Solutions Architect to gather business requirements and develop and maintain technical design documents based on business requirements. The Sr. Systems Analyst will design, build and implement report requirements in MicroStrategy (Desktop and Web) including object development and maintenance. Conduct acceptance testing during the project lifecycle. Provide ad-hoc technical support to the user community including feedback/reports on system usage and potential bottlenecks. Interview key members of user community for compliance with requirements Communicate progress and issues to the Project Manager and coordinate to ensure on-time completion. Work closely with Retail Business Solutions group, Corporate Solutions group IT Engineering & IT Operations and various business units to develop solution designs and deliver business solutions Develop effective working relationship with IT Customer/End-user, SDG, IT Engineering, IT Operations, and ITS groups Position Requirements A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree or comparable job-related experience is required. 5 years experience building schema and report components preferably in MicroStrategy Desktop and Teradata, DB2, Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server. General knowledge of Data Modeling principles. 5 years experience developing and implementing business applications in a fast-paced data centric environment. General knowledge and understanding of financial services business rules and their applications within subject areas. Desire to work in a process-oriented team as a as a self-directed, self-motivated individual contributor Preferred Qualifications MicroStrategy MCD or MCE or applicable RDBMS certification highly desired. Customer-oriented approach to application development. General financial performance reporting knowledge is a plus. Ability to quickly learn the business in unfamiliar areas. Effective presentation skills with the ability to make presentations to diverse. types of audiences (e.g. senior management, mid level management, vendors, business user and technical staff.) Proven ability to successfully work with business users and other IT departments. |
