| Job Description: The Senior Programmer Analyst is expected to analyze problems and design, document, and deliver accurate, well-tested modules for the Store Systems applications. Additionally, the Senior Programmer Analyst is responsible for cultivating and applying an understanding of Lowe's methodology, policies, standards, and internal and external controls. The Senior Programmer Analyst is also expected to interact with other solution areas, IT departments and business partners to analyze requests and accurately size efforts. Position Requirements Strong written and verbal communications Must be able to work well with others and off-shore teams Ability to organize day-to-day activities of self and team members as requested Must foster high degree of quality in deliverables Must be willing to look past a quick fix and look for root cause Must be a self-starter Must be able to determine change in priorities and adapt accordingly Develop Unit and Component Integration test plans After hours on-call rotation support Review and approve deliverables as requested Ensure documents are complete, current, and stored in appropriate location Mentor and provide technical assistance to team members Technical Requirements 5-7 years of experience in a C/Unix environment UDB or Sybase CVS Eclipse Remedy Change and Problem Management Debugging techniques Preferred Qualifications Lowe's Store Systems and Selling Tools Retail Systems Knowledge of Lowe's Store Systems quality and coding standards Bachelor's Degree or comparable job-related experience |
