Job Description: Responsible for planning, directing and coordinating all office in the Texas & Oklahoma area, related shipment processing tasks associated with international freight. Monitor work of Air, Ocean, Customs Brokerage, gateway department and the warehouse including 3PL accounts. Direct and actively participate in the sales development program for the station and the region. Work on developing key target accounts, and national accounts that can support the sales effort with the offshore offices. Ensure process improvements to increase efficiencies, productivity and the quality of customer service. Develop a strong training procedure and program in compliance with corporate policy and governmental regulatory requirements. Monitor performance and compliance regarding all regulatory requirements, AES, Known/Unknown Shipper procedures, TSA database, Dangerous Goods, Etc. Conduct random audits of shipment files Assist in the business development efforts of the local sales organization in support or rating, quoting and customer responsiveness Establish rapport and professional relations with overseas offices Establish collaborative work relations with warehouse operations to ensure expeditious processing of international cargos. Ongoing liaison and relationship building with all key vendors, including airlines, steamship lines, cartage agents and others. Responsible for continuous review and negotiation of vendor tariffs Oversee maintenance of all applicable tariffs and POA files. Develop metrics and programs of accountability in monitoring service levels of all core contact service providers. Ensure within corporate standards timely invoicing and posting of all shipments. Monitor profit split functions eo ensure accurate shipment credit. Ongoing review of P & L including activity levels to ensure adequate staffing. Schedule team briefings at least monthly to promote effective communications and employee feedback. Maintain employe records and ensure performance reviews are conducted as scheduled. Compensation package includes: Major Medical, Dental, Eye, 401K, 2 weeks vacation years 1-4, 3 weeks 5-9 and 4 weeks at 10 years, and major holidays & floating holidays, generous quarterly profit sharing, and pension after five years of employment.
