Job Description:
This position is for local residents only.
We are actively recruiting for a Senior Staff Accountant to join the General Ledger Team. The successful individual will assist in the preparation and financial analysis of monthly and quarterly financial statements and supporting schedules according to monthly close schedule. Assist with our yearly audit and in the preparation of audit schedules. Work with Key Operation team members to provide specific explanations on Balance Sheet and Income Statement variances. Provide interpretation of results for management; identify and develop reports that support company Key Performance Indicators; prepare monthly account reconciliations; provide guidance to other accounting groups regarding accounting issues; maintain foundation tables and financial reports for general ledger system; research and complete advanced special projects. The day-to-day mentoring and training of staff accountants as well as review of their assigned reconciliations and analysis will also be part of the responsibility for this person. Maintaining confidentiality of all sensitive information is required.


Job Requirements:
Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting

Professional certification such as CPA and CMA is strongly desirable

Minimum 5 years of general ledger accounting experience in corporate environment preferably in wholesale distribution

Strong computer, oral and written communication, presentation, and organizational skills

Experience working with EOne is highly desired

Experience working with a large and diversified organizational structure and chart of accounts

Proven track record working for a company with gross revenues in excess of $1 billion dollars per year

Strong analytical and problem solving skills

Knowledge of fundamentals of consolidation; Cost Accounting knowledge is a plus

Understanding of law, statistics, and general management as related to accounting

Effective Time Management skills and strong attention to detail

Ability to interface effectively with various levels within the organization

Proficient in the utilization of MS products (Excel, Word, and Outlook)

Ability to multi-task and complete projects within specific deadlines
