| Job Description: Reporting to the Produce Manager of a multi-million, debt free privately held transportation and logistics organization in business for 30 years, focused in the food logistics channel with partnerships among its Fortune 500 client list of food manufacturers, suppliers, distributors and restaurant chains. As a premier food logistics partner the key performance indicators that matter most to clients are outstanding customer service, financial stability, custom solutions, on time reliability, and cost savings. Responsible for interfacing with customers, managing shipper and carrier relationships, sourcing carriers, generating business leads, and tracking load status. Will develop actions plans for each customer, solve supply chain problems, negotiate carrier pricing, and implement solutions. Will be responsible for helping businesses of all sizes to improve the efficiency and cost of transportation. Challenge is to secure new clients and carriers while servicing and expanding existing account base, increasing revenues and maximizing profitability. Job Requirements: Background Required: • Brokerage/Grower sales (2 years) • Carrier relations with truck following (2 years) • Pricing Analysis (Customers and Carriers) • Customer service exposure • Transportation Management Software (TMS) • Computer literate - Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook • Location: Rocky Mount, NC Background Preferred (but not required): • Brokerage account portfolios • Produce or perishable transportation sourcing and sales • Education: BA or BS degree Other essential abilities and skills: • Results driven • High Energy & persistent • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced team environment • Strong communicator (written, oral and listener) • Attention to detail |
