Responsible and accountable for the supervision of hourly personnel such as by monitoring and ensuring timely breaks, lunches, and shift start/end times. Address and correct performance issues and problems in a timely manner, train hourly employees on Departmental and Company policies such as GMP?s, and monitor and maintain proper rotation of cold room and placement of aged product. Monitor and maintain proper housekeeping of cold room to ensure readiness for all inspections, such as AIB. Ensure equipment issued to employees is in good working condition and has been properly allocated. Maintain a safe work environment by training personnel on safety issues, completing safety accident and/or incident reports and recognizing and correcting unsafe conditions or acts. Complete & analyze departmental performance measurements such as check-in, turnaround, loading times, and cartons per man-hour. Minimum Qualifications: 4-year degree and/or equivalent Supply Chain Supervisory experience (3-5 years). Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to understand and teach complex assignments and controls. Must have a balance of creative and analytical skills, highly motivated, able to deal with a multi-task, fast-changing environment. Ability to interpret assignments into work actions by subordinates, motivate, lead, gather, and understand information provided by all levels of workers. Able to understand Safety Policies and Regulations, strong understanding of food processing, food sanitation, food safety, worker safety, and cost development. Team oriented with good people and customer service skills, with the ability to take direction from superiors and perform tasks without constant direct supervision. Demonstrated ability to make improvements to processes and develop them into more efficient and valuable parts of the overall operation. Strong technical understanding of OSHA, mechanical equipment, and the ability to understand mechanical processes and equipment constraints. Ability to interact effectively with government regulatory agencies. Able to work nights and weekends as necessary. Knowledge of Microsoft programs and AS400. Must be proficient in English. Desired Qualifications: Prior work experience in a Food Manufacturing facility and Spanish speaking desired. |
