Process Engineer
We are currently seeking a performance driven Process Engineer to champion our process improvement across the organization through the application of Lean Six Sigma methodologies. This individual will be responsible for standardizing processes from the ground up and establishing goals for ISO 9000:2000 registration.
Duties include:
- Lead and drive cross functional process management teams and direct timely completion of projects that will deliver significant improvement and financial benefit to the organization.
- Selecting/prioritizing appropriate activities/projects that will deliver the largest impact in improving the way we do business
- Partner with District Manager and process owners to drive process initiatives
- Participate in business case development and prioritization of business process driven and/or technology driven projects
- Collaborate with business unit leaders to set clear priorities and objectives supporting the development of a standardized approach to process and coordinate improvement efforts across business lines
- Perform appropriate elicitation techniques, including but no limited to: facilitating collaborative sessions, interviewing, observing, and analyzing documents.
- Provide support to process owners by identifying problems, finding root causes, and developing improvement strategies
- Conduct training and act as a subject matter expert, train-the-trainer
- Develop and drive audits and root cause analysis in the identification compliance to standard processes, and of opportunities throughout the organization and divisions
- Lead the development of procedures and work instructions following company guidelines
- Establish and maintain project management database to track all current and future process initiatives
- Other duties as identified.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering with a minimum of 5 years process improvement and project management experience
- Sigma & Lean Methodologies experience in a service industry (Black or green belt a plus)
- Proficient in using Minitab or Laubrass, MS Visio, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Proven ability to build team rapport and team consensus and lead cross functional teams
- Proven ability to management projects to a timely completion and meeting stated objective
- Ability to translate quality concepts to the service industry
- Auditing experience is an ISO environment would be an asset
- Extensive communication, mediation and facilitation skills
