District Sales Manager - East Purolator USA is currently looking for a District Sales Manager to build business in the East Coast. Current offices in the East include New York, Long Island, Buffalo, Raliegh, and Philadelphia. Primary Focus:
Specific Accountabilities: To lead, train, motivate, and deploy a successful -focused- team. Work with Branch Managers to determine each MAE's and AE's strengths/weaknesses. Coach MAE's and AE's and assist them in identifying their individual areas of strengths and weaknesses. Create sales training opportunities for MAE & AE's to build upon strengths and enhance areas of deficiencies. Set clear goals and effectively relay those goals to sales force. Organize frequent sales calls with Major Account Executives (MAE) while demonstrating how to build strong business relationships. Maintain a hands-on approach with top clients & prospects in area of responsibility. Enhance customer relationships & assist in closing clients. Manage the qualification and target account process; support the sales process and development of client strategies and proposals; actively engage in identifying and closing of new business opportunities. Work in close alignment with Service Quality Management teams to develop service solutions to meet the needs identified for each client. Support the strategic direction of Purolator USA by focusing the sales team on targeted market segments and high yielding margin clients. Instill a sense of urgency while creating a team environment through motivation, enthusiasm and high morale; ensure accountability and recognize success. Qualifications: Minimum of a Bachelor's degree complemented by 5 - 10 years sales management experience in a commercial sales environment. Transportation, Logistics Industry experience with a book of business a major plus. Experience managing a sales team and sales budget Strong communication skills, both oral and written, are required. Strategic and tactical skills are required. Team player with a proven sales management track record. Leadership abilities and the experience required to create and manage a significant part of the sales budget.
