| Job Description: Allegheny Ludlum Corporation - The Allegheny Ludlum Strip Division, a processor and distributor of Precision Specialty Metals for a worldwide variety of consumer and industrial application, is currently seeking a Backup Slitter Operator for their Southeastern Service Center located in, Walterboro, SC.-A successful candidate would have a background in production and manufacturing, forklift driving, and have the ability to use various measuring tools along with good math skills.- - Backup Slitter Operator Responsibilities Include: -- Loading and unloading coils onto the slitter. -- Cutting cores for metal to be wound onto. -- Pulling material to be slit. -- Palletizing steel coils, drive forklift, and handle scrap metal. -- Setting up the re-coiler on the slitter. -- Routine maintenance of all equipment used for this job. -- Banding skids, weighing coils of metal. -- Putting proper ID tags on metal. -- Making all calculations using mathematical formulas. -- Completing all paper work. -- Putting in knife set ups on the slitter head. - The pay rate for this position is $16.66/hr., plus a comprehensive benefit package, yearly raises, bonus program, and 401K package with company match.-Successful completion of a written test, drug screen, background check, and physical are required before employment. - All applicants must apply online-DO NOT CALL OR VISIT THE WALTERBORO SERVICE CENTER.-If you have a problem applying online, call 412.226.5483. |
