Job Description:
Under the direction of the Assistant Planning Manager, develop interdepartmental cross training for planning department. Provide production scheduling to ensure maximum efficiency while meeting service level requirements of service area. Plan and execute special programs, clearly communicating expectations with all levels of Lowe's Distribution, as well as Store and Corporate personnel.

Specific Duties:
  • Responsible for the proper scheduling of production work to maximize flow and reduce work content.
  • Provide leadership and direction of the Production Planners on the assigned shift.
  • Perform daily allocations and monitor progress to productivity reporting.
  • Analysis and problem solving of service level issues.
  • Coordinate and execute logistical requests for Corporate and Stores.
  • Creation and communication of daily plan to Operations, resolving issues or concerns with exisiting plan.
  • Provide high level of customer service to our Stores
  • Identify and resolve idle demand in a cost effective manner.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Strong organizational and communication skills (written and oral).
  • Knowledge of RDC operations and product flow through the RDC.
  • Ability to manage and execute multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Extensive computer knowledge and system related experience to include: Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, DMS and Host.
  • Have supervisory experience in a production scheduling environment.
  • Customer Service experience.


Preferred Qualifications:
4-year college degree and/or prior supervisory experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment
