Job Description: The BPM Coach will be the liaison between the cross-functional teams developing the methodology and the various support organizations involved in the BPM/BPI activities.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Work with functional management to understand and characterize process issues and opportunities for resolution. Assist in the development and prioritization of a portfolio of potential BPM projects.
- Coach multiple teams in support of Lowe's BPM development. Mentor project teams in the executions of BPM projects including scoping, current-state capture, process analysis support, future-state design, and deployment planning.
- Provide analytical and problem-solving support including quantitative and qualitative analysis of business issues using a wide variety of standard approaches. BPM Coaches must be adept at gathering and analyzing only the most critical information, looking past symptoms to root causes, detecting flawed reasoning, and identifying reasonable alternatives.
- Help in the development of process measurement and monitoring through the creations of appropriate scorecards and exception reporting.
- Monitor the adoption and effective use of standard BPM methodology by functional support staff. Provide feedback to assist in the refinement of the methodology and the deployment tactics.
Position Requirements:
- 4 year degree
- 6 years of process management/process improvement experience
- 4 years of business management experience
- 2 years of consulting experience
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with, influence, and motivate others.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to work with cross-functional teams at all levels of the organization.
- Strong quantative and analytical skills, with proficiency in Minitab/Excel, Visio and/or ProVision, comparable software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Green or Black Belt certification in Six Sigma, LEAN, AQP or comparable proficiency in other BPM/BPI methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Retail industry experience
- Certification in project management (PMI PMP or equivalent)
