Import/Export Compliance Administrator Location: Fairfield County, CT Reports to: Director, International Trade Compliance Our Client: A leader in global technology This position will be responsible for import and export activities as well be involved in implementing new policy or regulations to support the manufacturing site's existing business structure. The administrator will work closely with the purchasing and engineering teams with import/export classifications, other U.S. government agency requirements, documentation and expediting of goods. Key Responsibilities Manage daily import control procedures associated with products to either make or buy. These include responding to daily inquiries from customs brokers and other government agencies, preparing reports, record keeping and auditing. Imports Import/Export classification of products, communicating classifications to government agencies, country of origin determination, EOQ tracking and tracing, daily communication with customs brokers, entry re-work and protests as required and weekly compliance reporting. Exports Manage daily export control procedures associated with product lines and trade-lanes. Additional duties *Classifying products for license determination, reviewing system holds for denied party verification, export declaration creation and reviews; and, responding to pre-license checks and post shipment verifications. *Daily Interface with Broker and Freight forwarder and performance management. *End of Quarter/Year End support to operations. *Participate in global meetings to represent compliance activities. *Attend yearly seminars pertaining to new regulations and policies which may affect the site. Job Requirements: 3-5 Years experience preferred in a trade compliance supervisory position. Broker's License or other International Trade Compliance certification is a plus. Knowledge of Import and Export trade regulations. Bachelors Degree required Knowledge of SAP and SAP Global Trade Services. Excellent communication skills both verbal and written. Ability to communicate at all levels of the business. Good Analytical skills.
