Job Description: This position is based out of Kansas City, MO OR Seaford, DE The Intermodal Operations Manager must be able to fit into the Trinity culture, and -constantly strive to be the best,- as delineated in the official Trinity purpose. You will be responsible for overseeing the Intermodal Operations and Pricing department. In addition you will be charged with motivating a team of account managers and outside salespeople. Inspiring your team to achieve and exceed established professional goals, measuring their performance, and molding them into future department managers/leaders will also be integral components to the success of the department. The ideal candidate will have a minimum 3-5 years of Intermodal Operations background. A complete understanding of the Intermodal mechanics a must. A strong negotiator, with the railroads and the dray carriers. Sales and/or account management experience, be able to motivate and empower team members, and have the ability to formulate and implement new/innovative solutions to client problems. Accordingly, he/she must be a high energy self starter, goal and achievement driven, and highly self-motivated. You must be able to place focus on the day to day operations and details of the department, while at the same time planning for the future and focusing on the big-picture. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
