Duties and Responsibilities:
- Processing ISF's
- File Set-up
- Rail Tracking
- Last Free Day (LFD) pick-up confirmation
- Scanning in RVI
- Entry Filing
- Confirmation of releases with terminals and/or steamship lines
- Issuing Delivery Orders
- Knows who to contact, i.e. steamship lines and/or terminals if shipments are not properly released, or to obtain the LFD

Qualification Requirements:
- Has general knowledge of the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) regulations
- Has general knowledge of Other Government Agency (OGA) regulations, e.g.: FDA, DOT, FCC, FWS, etc.
Demonstrates the following characteristics:
- Able to prioritize work load and manage time with strict deadlines
- Takes direction, not only from supervisor, but other experienced colleagues
- Takes initiatives to ensure work is completed efficiently and shares them with supervisor for proper approval
- Exhibits a positive attitude about one's self and the company
- Exercises good attendance within the guidelines set forth in the Trans American Handbook
Education:
- Minimum requirement: High School Diploma, however 2 or 4 year college degree desirable.
Language Ability:
- Thoroughly competent in English, (for Miami office also Spanish), verbal, writing and reading.
- Able to take direction from the CBP Licensed Broker responsible for the customs technical aspects of operations, so that clients remain compliant with applicable regulations.
Math Ability:
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, duty/taxes, commissions and percentages.
Reasoning Ability:
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Able to obtain detailed technical and/or practical information necessary to carry out duties and responsibilities as described above from appropriate sources.
Computer Skills:
- Proficient in usage of U.S. Customs ABI/RLF processing, IBM A/S400, MS Word and Excel, email and the internet.
Physical Demands:
- Able to perform well in a high activity and time sensitive environment.
