IJS Global Inc. is an international freight forwarder, customhouse broker, and OTI (NVOCC) providing air and ocean freight forwarding, distribution, warehousing and customs clearance services with a global network and affiliates in more than 100 countries worldwide.
Currently, we have an opportunity based in our Sayreville New Jersey facility for an Entry Clerk/ Import Coordinator. The position requires knowledge of tracking and tracing import ocean and air freight shipments, arranging interposal containers from ports and rail yards to customers, quoting of import shipments, truckers' operations, steamship line and airline import office liaison, and working in coordination with the customs broker operation.

Duties Include:
- Contact vendors (air, ocean, and truck) to obtain rates, schedule pickups, track deliveries, determine last free day, etc.
- Receive documents from origin, set up and prioritize shipment files
- Enter shipment and billing data into operational system
- Shipment tracking with air and ocean carriers
- Assist with payment requests and customer billing

Job Requirements:
- 1 year experience in international freight forwarding
- Familiarity with industry documents including bills of lading, delivery orders, commercial invoices, packing lists, etc.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Self - starter able to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment
- Able to work in a small team environment
- Flexible and ready to learn new things
