Job Description:
- Actively participate in productivity improvement through effective route planning and transportation cost reduction initiatives-
- Plan driver routes to achieve or exceed productivity targets including service times and profitability-
- Coordinate the routing/dispatching and delivery of orders using computer routing system-
- Dispatch drivers/routes in the most efficient/cost-effective manner-
- Provide trouble-shooting and real-time solutions to minimize service disruptions/missed pickups-
- Provide detailed reporting and analysis to help drive efficiency-
- Effectively communicate with drivers so they can meet daily delivery objectives; assist drivers with travel/directions while on the road-
- Monitor order fulfillment, communicating daily with Sales on delivery status as well as refused or missed orders-
- Identify and prioritize missed deliveries and opportunities, ensuring proper handling of missed deliveries and refused product-
- Identify areas of opportunity in delivery days and delivery frequency-
- Liaison with Sales to ensure coordination between Sales and Operations-
- Work independently with no supervision during night shift and may oversee night crew
Job Requirements:
- Prior logistics experience
- Associate degree or equivalent experience
- Excellent planning and analysis skills
