Summary:
The Systems Support Developer role is to build, develop, and support efficient information systems for end user communities. This individual will apply proven communication, analytical and problem-solving skills to help identify and resolve systems issues in order to maximize the benefit of IT systems investments. The system developer role is part of the application support team located in Naugatuck CT.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the troubleshooting, planning, development, and deployment of new systems and enhancements to existing systems.
  • Review business requirements and systems goals, and identify and resolve end user systems issues indentified by Super Users
  • Ensure compatibility and interoperability of in-house computing systems though approval of the Architecture Team located in Naugatuck Ct. Manage and ensure the integrity of host computers (AS400, Linux, Windows), multiple databases and data transfer.
  • Participate to the on-call Application support 24x7x365.
  • Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems.
  • Create Technical specifications, diagrams and system flows to provide direction to system Architects.
  • Coordinate and perform in-depth tests, for modified and new systems.
  • Provide orientation and training to end users for all modified and new systems.
  • Assist in the troubleshooting, planning, development, and deployment of new systems and enhancements to existing systems.
  • Coordinate with internal teams or external vendor investigations for technical problem solving


Education:
  • College degree in the field of computer science, information science, management information systems.


Experience:
  • Proven experience (2 years minimum) in implementation of WMS (Warehousing Management Systems) software and hardware solutions, systems, or Logistics products.


Knowledge & Skills:
  • Warehouse Management Application knowledge is required
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent listening and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to conduct research into systems issues and products as required.
  • Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.
  • Highly self motivated and directed.
  • Proven analytical and creative problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
