Global Third Party Logistics Company Job Description: Our client is a leading provider of comprehensive global supply chain management solutions is seeking a Director of Sales Contract Logistics. Our client offers an extensive portfolio of integrated supply chain solutions including, warehousing, distribution, transportation, global freight management, asset management and much more. They have an exciting opportunity for talented individuals. They are seeking Director of Sales - 3PL (Contract Logistics) Reporting directly to the Vice President, this position is responsible for aggressively expanding their presence in a couple of targeted verticals (food, consumer products, health & beauty) Sales are conducted in line with prescribed corporate sales strategy, utilizing various sales and marketing aids. You will manage a team of Account Managers, helping them close deals and giving them the support they need to be successful. Other responsibilities include generating sales leads by networking, cold-calling prospects and building relationships as part of a coordinated sales strategy; creating sales strategies by gathering market information, analyzing opportunities and documenting sales methodology; responding to client prospect inquiries by preparing responses to requests for proposals (RFP's) and requests for quotations (RFQ's); leading cross-functional teams in creation of written proposals and pricing; preparing presentations and delivering to prospective clients and general audiences.
