| Job Description: This position is for local residents only. Business Development Manager for established 27 year old well respected and growing Freight Forwarder/3PL Job Description: The Business Development Manager is responsible for the growth of profitable revenue in his/her territory. Responsibilities: • Accountable to directly identify and initiate business development efforts • Develop and execute a field sales business plan that will achieve corporate revenue goals • Work closely with the operational staff to ensure customer's needs and expectations are met • Meet sales threshold/quota as defined by the company • Generate business leads and qualify them • Make Cold Calls • Negotiate Rates Requirements: • Minimum 2 years of directly related current experience in logistics sales with an ACTIVE BOOK of business. • Bachelor's Degree preferred. Experience may be substituted in lieu of education. • Proven track record in generating profitable revenue and retaining existing customers • Entrepreneurial attitude, competitive, confident personality with strongly developed persuasive skills • Must have strong presentation skills and the ability to handle negotiations between company and its clients • Effective follow-up skills • In-depth knowledge of the company's product and services |
