Job Description:
Lead the Performance & Lifestyle Group's product safety effort, ensuring all products are in compliance with global safety legislation requirements, and all testing and certification processes are managed and updated in order to be in full compliance with evolving global product safety legislations.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Ensure products (including footwear and apparel) comply with all relevant product safety legislations.
  • Evolve existing processes and develop new processes in order to maximize efficiencies throughout the product safety testing and certification process without compromise or risk to product safety requirements.
  • Obtain and maintain awareness of evolving global product safety legislations, identifying where and how Collective Brands testing protocols need to evolve in order to address global product safety needs.
  • Manage the timely resolution of product safety issues through cross functional and cross corporate collaboration and team work, ensuring issues are identified and resolved with minimal impact to product delivery and remain in full compliance with all relevant product safety needs.
  • Manage the vendor certification process to ensure products sold through Performance & Lifestyle Group retail are in compliance with all product safety requirements.
  • Continually manage and monitor product testing and certification status in order to minimize the risk of shipping non compliant product or delays to shipping due to insufficient testing or certification being incompleted.
  • Work within a cross corporate Collective Brands Product Safety Team, achieving common goals and objectives across the corporation.


Job Requirements:
  • A Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years related work experience with Consumer Product Safety law requirements are preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Must be able to analyze statistical data and determine conclusion for proposed course of action.
  • Time management and prioritization of all projects
  • High energy level and team spirit is a must
