As the Business Intelligence Engineer IV, you will be responsible for developing, adopting, and implementing design SOPs, and take XPO to the cutting edge of business intelligence solutions. What you'll do on a typical day:

  • Lead discussions of business intelligence solutions and reporting tools by studying information needs, conferring with users, studying system flows, data usage, work processes, investigating problem areas, and following the development lifecycle
  • Review and adopt changes for operational feasibility of business intelligence and reporting tools by evaluating analysis, requirements, system constraints, solution developments, and proposed solutions
  • Ensure the review of architects and developers is capturing the user requirements and are sustained and scalable
  • Utilize scalable approaches such as unit testing, integration testing, and system-level testing in support of QA team
  • Ensure the user interface, system communication, design, and implementation are on target and supporting the business
  • Lead development optimization for reporting tools through modeling, simulation, and analysis; design and implement data models and solicit feedback on operational impact
  • Build reporting and business intelligence tools in a Microsoft SQL Server environment (including SQL Server Analysis Services)

What you need to succeed at XPO:

At a minimum, you'll need:

  • 7 years of development experience with SQL Server
  • 5 years of experience in SQL Server performance tuning and query monitoring
  • 7 years of experience in relational data modeling
  • 7 years of experience in T-SQL
  • 7 years of experience with SSIS
  • 7 years of SQL Server administration experience in a clustered environment and replication
  • 1 years of experience Microsoft SSAS and data warehouse design
  • 1 years of experience OLAP cubes and MDX development
  • Some background education in computer science or engineering

It'd be great if you also have:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science or electrical engineering
