Timken Gears and Services' Philadelphia Gear brand has a current opening for a Regional Sales Manager position in the West Coast Region, responsible for managing the regional field sales force to professionally meet the business' financial and growth objectives.
The successful candidate will be responsible for sales of gear repair, parts, Onsite Technical Services and new enclosed drives as well as leading the introduction of new products to the regional market. Key attributes include the ability to manage people, set priorities, conduct high level sales presentations to customers, meeting deadlines, goal setting, ability work as part of a team and the ability to interact with all levels of customers, vendors and internal support teams.
Looking for a self-starting, highly motivated individual that is results oriented with the drive to succeed both individually and as part of a team, with an ability to maintain and also grow the territory. The ideal candidate will have 10 years mechanical experience, particularly in the area of gearbox repair. This opportunity is home based when not on the road, with expected travel to be 50% of the time on average. This position reports to the General Manager of the Western Region.
Excellent computer skills, and strong written and verbal communication skills are required. General knowledge of power transmission systems and products are required. Specific knowledge of gearboxes and associated gearing applications are preferred. Applicant must have 5 years of sales experience and a bachelors degree from an accredited college or university.
