PURPOSE:

This position executes the Inventory planning process. In doing so, executes the IA model for

the supply chain and develops the inventory targets based on the supply chain capabilities.

Manages the implementation of planned safety stocks in R3 to stay within overall business

plan. Develop inventory targets which optimizes both customer service and working capital

efficiency ( starting from components level thru entire supply chain ending with finished

product) Analysis is performed monthly to measure the actual inventory against the inventory

targets. Based on the monthly results identify opportunities and actions to improve the

inventory position.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop business plan targets based on market and corporate business objectives Adjusting

safety stock targets in SAP R3 per the results of the demand creation process Executing

Inventory Models, review errors and correct, validate results for reasonableness Inventory

Consolidation / Adjustment Achieving approval of proposed targets (Inventory Approval)

Managing the phased implementation of safety stocks to stay within inventory targets.

Participating in the joint SI&OP Support Team process and providing analytical support to the

process Helping create SI&OP meeting pre-reading materials and providing miscellaneous

analytical support to the SI&OP process Participating with master schedulers, marketing, and

manufacturing in setting of planning strategies Actively participating in the structured and

results-drive process to improve inventory models and inventory productivity over time Execute

the OSMI process

Prepare ad-hoc reports from SAP R3 related to inventory movement across

supply chain (from components to finished product) Executing Inventory Models Extract data

from SAP and BW and Validate data Consolidate current inventory from all sources Combine current inventory with inventory targets from the model, consolidating the total inventory

position Inputting inventory classifications, service levels, and model inputs (Data

Maintenance) Generating projected inventory levels and KPI measurement reports Preparing

excess and obsolete analysis and recommendations for sweeping or scrapping of OSMI

(Continuous Improvement)

TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • Strong Communication Skills
  • Detail Orientation
  • Ability to handle multiple projects
  • Previous SAP experience
  • Strong Quantitative Analysis and Systems background

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain or Logistics
