To verify product conformity to internal and external customer requirements.
Support manufacturing through in-process NDT and metallurgical inspection requirements.
Support other inspection areas and related work as required.
Review and interpret drawings, process sheets /routings, operating instructions, and specifications
Maintain accurate and complete daily inspection records.
Maintain work areas and equipment in a neat and orderly manner.
Basic math & computer skills
Prepare micros by sectioning, mounting, grinding, polishing and etching the sample for metallurgical review.
Metallurgical Testing ( hardness testing only)
Continued exposure to the various types of NDT and Metallurgical Testing (FPI, MPI, STE, hardness testing, macro-etch, steel inspection
High School graduate or equivalent
Certified in one of the following as Level 1: Flourescent Particle Inspection, Magnetic Particle Inspection, Surface Temper Etch
Certified in on of the following as Level 2: Flourescent Particle Inspection, Magnetic Particle Inspection, Surface Temper Etch
