The Maintenance Manager is responsible for performing or coordinating resources and management of all maintenance work.
Job Duties :

Primary Duties:
  • Provides support for Maintenance.
  • Oversees Maintenance by tracking work hours, maintaining work orders for all maintenance/project work, managing material purchases used in maintenance/project work and working with the Accounting department to ensure all work is billed correctly.
  • Approves invoices and confirms that work is billed correctly to the customer.
  • Bids and manages project and maintenance opportunities with non-Company customers.
  • Supports management with maintenance needs and bills as needed.
  • Performs the contract maintenance for the assigned buildings.
  • Tracks all time and turns in weekly timesheets.
  • Observes all safety procedures to make certain that hazardous waste is properly disposed.
  • Analyzes, diagnoses, and recommend correction for Company and Customer equipment problems and breakdowns, including conveyor system and forklift fleet.
  • Other duties as required and assigned.

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree from a 4 year college or university preferred.
  • Minimum 4 years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in electrical, plumbing, building systems, warehouse racking, HVAC, and general maintenance.
  • Experience with repairing conveyor systems.
Essential Skills:
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manual.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to communicate with various levels of the organization as well as various levels of the customer's organization.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to interpret schematics and effectively use electrical diagnostic instruments.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. He/she is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. He/she must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus. T he employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles. He/she is regularly exposed to ambient lighting and temperate climate conditions.
