As the Senior Sales Support Specialist, you will provide support to strategic sales executives by monitoring territory and account trends, managing pricing agreement renewals and RFQs, facilitating account onboarding, managing calendars, and other administrative tasks. What you'll do on a typical day:

  • Provide reports, statistical data, and metrics to sales executives; alert sales team regarding lost business, new opportunities, onboarding status, etc.
  • Perform pre-call preparation for sales executives
  • Coordinate with sales, operations, service, and others as needed to support customer requirements; respond to customers regarding chronic concerns or business at-risk issues
  • Manage the customer identification process (coding) that is critical for accurate pricing and invoicing; manage account assignment changes
  • Support the RFI/RFQ process
  • Work with sales, the customer, and pricing to provide bids for new business; manage the pricing agreement renewal process
  • Perform account research including online research, outbound calls to prospects, and confirming key contacts

What you need to succeed at XPO:

At a minimum, you'll need:

  • Experience in customer-facing jobs such as sales, sales support, customer service, etc.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project)
  • Ability to prioritize work in line with department, territory, and company goals

It'd be great if you also have:

  • Previous project management experience
  • Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills; able to present clean, organized, and thorough information and data appropriate for intended audience
  • Proven ability to coordinate multiple individuals (or teams) to reach a decision or goal; knowledge of general business practices related to sales, accounts payable, accounts receivable, procurement, and logistics
