As the Manager of Operations Support for the Implementations Launch Team, you will ensure the establishment, implementation and maintenance of processes needed for the Quality Management System. What you'll do on a typical day:

  • Drive key quality, inventory and other critical metrics across the site by utilizing continuous improvement tools and processes
  • Lead associates in executing daily roles, while working in a safe and efficient manner
  • Schedule, review and monitor work instructions with supervisors and associates in designated areas of responsibility
  • Ensure review of facility/department training status and schedule training according to set frequency; ensure training requirements are met in a timely manner
  • Write specifications for new developments and system enhancements
  • Analyze client requirements, determine fit and customizations, develop proposals, gather supporting data for cost estimates, and present XPO's capabilities and solutions to prospective clients
  • Serve as project manager for system implementations and upgrades; provide ongoing support as needed
  • Support implementations by delivering documented implementation plans, configuring systems, training users and providing post-implementation support
  • Perform process and data modeling
  • Generate project ideas and solutions
  • Implement change within and across departments
  • Utilize and maintain warehouse management system processes to deliver appropriate work documents and outcomes

What you need to succeed at XPO:

At a minimum, you'll need:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline
  • 5 or more years of experience in the utilization of Lean Six Sigma methodologies
  • Previous experience leading value stream assessments and Lean improvement events (Kaizen events)
  • Proven ability to communicate well with leadership, team members, internal departments and client representatives

It'd be great if you also have:

  • Willingness to travel at least 75% of the time, and sometimes 100% of the time for short durations
  • Experience with the implementation of new distribution centers
  • Experience improving business processes
  • Distribution and e-commerce experience, with heavy utilization of continuous process improvement methodologies
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively at all levels of the organization; strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Results-oriented work style; highly-organized with a strong sense of urgency and the ability to deal with ambiguity
  • Objective and open-minded; an out-of-the-box thinker, problem-solver and change agent
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain a positive attitude and promote teamwork in meeting goals and objectives
