What you'll do on a typical day:

  • Work with various departments and team members to achieve corporate margin and service goals, including the Dray Procurement Manager, RSC's, Customer Service, Commercial, Pricing and Network teams
  • Compile and analyze transactional financial and operational data from business intelligence (ISOPs) and source systems to evaluate gaps in planned costs and efficiencies
  • Collaborate with Customer Service, Pricing and Operations to implement dray/rail improvement strategies, including rerouting lanes, changing dray/rail carriers, proposing alternative equipment usage, etc.
  • Develop and maintain gross margin targets and truckload/intermodal competitive data in the Pricing Workbench system
  • Provide consultative support to the business through the analysis of data; recommend efficiency improvements, including identifying potential new customers on a lane-by-lane basis
  • Assist with preparing the monthly executive reporting package; identify changes in market conditions, summarize efficiency improvements and recap other market-related issues

What you need to succeed at XPO:
