Director, Customs Brokerage Consulting Services

Job description

The employee will be responsible for the development of customs consulting services in the United States. Employee must identify customs consulting targets and help closing opportunities with the respective sales owner of the account.
It is expected to develop relationships within the sales community and significant target and existing customers to support the development
The primary goal of the position is prospecting new business and creating a winning strategy for each opportunity that leads to a successful. The arching scope of the solutions developed is customs consulting and managed services.

Your tasks and responsibilities

 • -  Strategy and business development
-  - Develop and implement a U.S. sales program and strategy for customs consulting services.
-  - Identify new business opportunities and closing them with the sales owner.
-  - Manage industry and customer contacts;
-  - Work strategically with K N teams to develop strategic target account plans.
-  - Crafting solutions and responses to RFQ or RFI inquiries pertaining to customs consulting.
-  - Review opportunities for existing K N customers not currently taking advantage of duty drawback, or other customs consulting services;
 • -  Leadership and operational excellence
-  - Cooperate with brokerage and sales teams to identify targets.  
 • -  Finance and controlling
-  - Develop a pricing model to win opportunities and maintain profitability

Essential Job Duties

Employee must speak competently to compliance and reasonable care standards related to customs consulting.  Further, employee must remain current with all changing customs regulations and communicate updates to commercial team.  The position supports client inquiries related to their ongoing customs activities in order to both solidify relationships and propose commercial solutions.

Secondary Job Duties

Employee must be able to recognize additional areas of commercial opportunity through value added services, risk mitigation, visibility data flow, service, operational efficiencies, and cross-selling Employee will build internal relationships to make consulting services a relevant adjunct component to K N's services in addition to brokerage.  .

- Licensed Customs Broker
- 5 Years experience
- Certified Customs Specialist
- Strong Written and Verbal communication
- Strong presentation skills
- Solution design skills
