Job Overview

This role is an entry-level professional scheduler responsible for evaluating demand signals from multiple sources and turning them into a production schedule which simultaneously meets customers' requirements and maximizes production efficiency. In addition to quantitative and qualitative analysis skills, superior interpersonal skills (written and oral communication) will be necessary to work with other planners, customers, customer service representatives, corporate management, plant management, purchasing, and production to prioritize/manage schedules and make changes quickly and effectively.

What you will do:
  • Evaluates Multi-site SKU demand allocations, analyzes and plans VT Operations site production schedules based on current and evolving business needs, VT Ops site capacities, and special equipment or timing needs.
  • Create production schedules with the intent to balance staffing, machine capacity, and production efficiencies using computerized models and system applications.
  • Communicates with site buyers to assure raw materials will be available to meet scheduled production
  • Partners with the Multi-Site Production Planning Team to understand priorities based on demand signals, sales trends, and inventory status and policy.
  • Responsible for communicating with Manufacturing Leaders and making adjustments to the production scheduled based on staffing restriction, raw materials, and machine availability.
  • Participate and support Green Mountain Coffee's continuous improvement initiatives associated with manufacturing processes.
  • Resolve scheduling challenges through a combination of queries, reports, and other problem solving techniques.
  • Updates and Maintains the Visual Daily Management system with weekly schedules and updates to plan changes for both maintenance and production plans.
  • Performs site level item setup tasks for finished goods and WIP items.
  • Maintain documentation of reason codes of misses from day to day production
  • Provide coverage for other site schedulers to ensure site scheduling support.
Requirements

What you must have:
  • At least one year scheduling experience (consumer goods manufacturing experience preferred).
  • Bachelor's degree and/or supply chain accreditation (preferred).
  • ERP/MRP experience required.
  • Great communication skills - verbal, written, and electronic.
  • Must be detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to multi-task.
  • Computer literacy, preferably with spreadsheets, ERP systems, and SAP.

Physical Requirements / Working Conditions :

Predominantly sedentary light office position with high frequency of keyboarding/computer work required (67% - 100% of the workday).
